First European Gamma-Guided Breast Biopsy

The first European gamma-guided breast biopsy was successfully carried out at the Rijnland Hospital in Leiderdorp, Holland on 4th November, 2011.

The Dilon GammaLoc stereotactic localisation module was installed on the hospital's Dilon 6800 Breast Specific Gamma Imaging camera and the first patient was biopsied with a Suros/Atec device on Friday, 4th November 2011.

The GammaLoc module is compatible with Mammotome and Suros biopsy systems.
